Reading Round Up – April 2018

April was the month I stopped work and we officially started our Great Big Glorious Grown-Up Gap Year.

While the year is hardly going to be ‘just’ a holiday, we did agree to give us this first month to take some time out, regroup, and refresh.

And so I read. And read. And read. And read some more.

The lighter escape reads (the Makkede Vanderwall Series and Outlander) were just what I needed.  However it was the novels of Madeline Miller and Sarah Perry that reminded me of the magic of discovering an author you haven’t read before, and falling just a little bit in love with their voice.
